Berkley Alternative Markets Tech started when a small group of technologists heard one too many times, “It’s more complicated than that.” 

We started in early 2019 as a small group of technologists with a mandate to make workers compensation insurance better.  Today we’re working with a talented team of comp experts who run five different insurance brands.

At Berkley Alternative Markets Tech, we are creating an idea and execution meritocracy. In other words, a place where the best ideas win and the people who deliver the most value get the most opportunities.  But we are not your average insurance industry technology shop. Our value proposition is not the ability to churn. Rather, it is our capacity to care deeply about the products we are building and then convert that caring into real benefits.  

 We are not in the business of blindly taking orders. We are in the business of debating ideas, learning from mistakes, and always asking why. We try to pick the right problems to solve and the best ways to solve them.
