Joan Comfort

Joan Comfort, CPA, currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Berkley Select, a position held since November 2023. Previously, Joan held the role of Chief Financial Officer at ISBA Mutual Insurance Company from August 2007 to November 2023, along with titles of Controller and Senior Accountant during tenure. Prior experience includes working as a Tax Consultant for an Independent Contractor from January 1995 to August 2007, and as a Tax Consultant and Audit Senior in Financial Services at Arthur Andersen & Co. from July 1986 to December 1994. Joan Comfort earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Saint Mary's College, graduating in 1986.
