BERKLEY SURETY is a highly professional, service-oriented surety underwriting management company, providing a full spectrum of bonds for contract, environmental, and commercial surety accounts through multiple distribution channels in both the United States and Canada. We write on behalf of W. R. Berkley Corporation member company Berkley Insurance Company, which has an A.M. Best rating of A+ (Superior). We pride ourselves on building strong relationships with our agents. We highly value the insight and expertise our agency partners bring to the table which helps us provide timely and predictable surety solutions. CONTRACT SURETY - We supports traditional contractors in a broad range of disciplines and segments of the construction industry in both the United States and Canada. Knowledge and experience are more important today than ever before. We take a comprehensive underwriting approach and seek to understand what makes your client’s business unique. Once we understand their business model, we determine the specific needs required to make it a successful enterprise. We look at performance, profitability, leverage and cash flow management. Looking at each company as an individual risk, we seek to identify the risk factors that are unique to their business. COMMERCIAL SURETY - Rather than rely solely on technology, we built our commercial surety strategy around people instead of computers. While the best available technology is an integral component of our analytics and delivery, the driving force in Berkley Surety's commercial enterprise is our people. Our people are experienced in intellectual capital, and have proven experience working with large, publicly traded risks. "If it makes sense, let's find a way to do it." Complex programs for large companies require support from a number of products beyond traditional commercial surety, such as contract surety, subdivision and environmental.
