Joseph Perez

Joseph Perez has over three decades of work experience in the insurance and financial industry. JOSEPH is currently working as the Vice President of Shared Services at Berkley Surety, a Berkley Company. In this role, they are responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices. JOSEPH also oversees the recruitment, training, supervision, and mentoring of staff.

Prior to joining Berkley Surety, Joseph held various roles at AIG, starting as an Assistant Controller and eventually becoming the Multinational Operations Manager. In these positions, they managed financial statements, ensured compliance with regulatory requirements, and oversaw regional systems and strategic planning.

Before AIG, Joseph worked as the Insurance Manager at MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings, where they directed financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting functions.

Their earlier experiences include working as a Financial Analyst at A.M. Best, analyzing insurance companies' financial condition, and serving as the Manager of Corporate Reinsurance Operations at Continental Insurance Company, where they analyzed reinsurance placements and monitored recoverables.

Joseph's career began as a Real Estate Accountant at Prudential Financial, where they analyzed and reported on real estate taxes and coordinated financial transfers.

Throughout their career, Joseph has demonstrated leadership, financial expertise, and a strong focus on organizational effectiveness.

Joseph Perez attended William Paterson University of New Jersey from 1983 to 1988. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Finance.
