Dagmar Varinska

Dagmar Varinska has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Dagmar started their career as a trainee at Gebäudeversicherung des Kantons Bern in 1994 and worked there until 1996. After that, they joined Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, where they held various roles including Risk Manager, Chief Risk Officer, Swiss Branch, and General Insurance Senior Risk Analyst. Dagmar'sresponsibilities at Zurich included refining and embedding the group's risk appetite framework, managing the production of regulatory reports, and providing risk consulting services. Dagmar'stime at Zurich lasted from 1996 to 2018. In 2018, they joined W. R. Berkley Corporation as the Head of Risk and Compliance.

Dagmar Varinska completed their Master's degree in Economics from Ekonomická univerzita v Bratislave in 1994. Dagmar then went on to pursue their Ph.D. in Insurance and Risk Management from the University of St.Gallen, which they completed in 2003. In 2019, they enrolled in the University of St.Gallen again and obtained a CAS Compliance Management CM-HSG degree in 2021.
