Melissa Emmendorfer

Melissa Emmendorfer has extensive work experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Melissa currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Insurance Risk Management at W. R. Berkley Corporation, a role they have held since 2017. Prior to this, they served as Senior Vice President at Berkley Re America from 2009 to 2016. Before that, they were the Chief Underwriting Officer of Casualty Reinsurance at Folksamerica Reinsurance Co from 2007 to 2009. Melissa began their career at Xl Reinsurance America in 1990, where they worked as a Vice President until 2007.

Melissa Emmendorfer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Fairfield University, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Prior to that, Melissa attended Newington High School from 1982 to 1986.
