Giuliana Tamasco has extensive experience in the field of textile and print design. Giuliana started their career as an intern textile designer at Laura Laurens in 2013, where they gained experience in designing mood boards, creating fabric samples, and assisting in fabric sourcing. Giuliana then worked as a textile designer at Laura Laurens in 2014, where they designed prints, graphics, and handmade textiles, and assisted in trend research and fabric selection.
In 2016, Giuliana interned as a textile designer at stylecouncil, where they developed color palettes, created garment illustrations, and organized design collections. Giuliana then joined Old Navy in 2017 as an assistant textile designer, where they created original designs across various divisions in women's apparel and assisted in trend forecasting and collection development.
Giuliana's role expanded at Old Navy in 2019 when they became an associate textile designer, taking charge of the girls and toddlers accessories department. In this role, they created original prints, developed seasonal concept trend research, and contributed to the design of girls loungewear, women's accessories, and mainline products.
Most recently, Giuliana joined Berkshire Blanket & Home Co. in 2021 as a textile and print designer. In this role, they create original repeating patterns by hand and digitally for various products, including bedding, home decor, decorative accessories, and pet products. Giuliana collaborates with the design team to gather market data on fashion trends and develops designs using software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, NedGraphics, and Procreate.
Giuliana Tamasco completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Fibers from the Savannah College of Art and Design from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Design from the Universidad de Los Andes, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. In addition to their degrees, Giuliana also obtained a certification in Graphic Design & Illustration Using Adobe Illustrator from Adobe in November 2016.
