Richard Hannmann

Richard Hannmann is currently the Director at Berkshire Farm Center. Prior to this, they were a retired partner at KPMG from September 1994 to September 2017. Hannmann was responsible for managing the firm's New England Upstate New York IT Audit Practice. This entailed delivering IT Audit support for over 100 financial statement and SOC clients in various industries, including Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (SOX) and System and Organization Controls (SOC) 1, 2 and 3 engagements.

In the years leading up to their retirement, Hannmann also took on the role of Audit Quality and Professional Practice Partner, overseeing more than 45 Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Inspections. Richard was also a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) ASEC Privacy System and Organization Controls (SOC) Working Group that issued the then current Trust Services Principles and Criteria for Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy. Furthermore, they served on a KPMG task force evaluating and responding to the emerging AICPA Cybersecurity risk management framework and SOC criteria and attestation standards.

Richard Hannmann has a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from University at Albany, SUNY. Richard is also certified by the AGA as a Certified Government Financial Manager, by the Information Systems and Control Association as a Certified Information Systems Auditor, by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as a Certified Public Accountant, and by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as a Certified Information Technology Professional.
