Alex Perkins

Alex Perkins is a seasoned professional in the insurance and engineering fields, currently serving as a Senior Underwriter for Construction at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance since October 2022. Prior experience includes various roles at QBE Insurance from February 2018 to October 2022, culminating as an Underwriting Manager focusing on Risk Underwriting in Heavy Industries. Alex began the journey in underwriting as a Graduate Underwriter and progressed to positions such as Senior Construction Underwriter and Construction Underwriter. Prior to the insurance sector, Alex contributed as a Sports Coach at St Aloysius' College from January 2013 to March 2018 and briefly worked as an Undergraduate Engineer at Beca. Alex holds a Combined Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) with Honours and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Sydney, earned between 2013 and 2017, and completed education at St Aloysius' College in Milsons Point from 2004 to 2012.
