Kate Browne

Kate Browne currently serves as the Chief Claims Counsel at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, a position held since October 2019. In addition to this role, Kate is a member of the FDCC since 2004. Prior experience includes serving as Underwriter's Counsel and Senior Claims Expert at Swiss Re from August 2004 to April 2024, and as Complex Director at AIG from July 2002 to June 2004. Kate also held the position of Senior Associate at Mendes & Mount from August 1989 to July 2002. Academic qualifications include a Juris Doctor degree from St. John's University School of Law (1986-1989) and a Bachelor of Arts in Government-Business from St. John's University (1982-1985).
