Steve Alon

Steve Alon currently serves as the Head of Operations Europe and Head of Operations D/A/CH Region at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance since July 2022. Prior to this role, Steve held the position of Senior Operations Manager at Liberty Specialty Markets from September 2019 to June 2022 and was the European Head of Operations at Ironshore Insurance from November 2015 to August 2019. Earlier experience includes serving as Operations Director Europe Direct at XL Catlin from July 2012 to October 2015, and various roles within the same organization from January 2004 to June 2012, including Underwriter and Assistant Underwriter. Steve's career began as a Project Manager at Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft Köln and as a Work Student at GERLING-KONZERN ALLGEMEINE VERSICHERUNGS-AG. An education background in Business Law was completed at Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln between 1999 and 2002.
