Tim Doggett

Tim Doggett is a seasoned professional in atmospheric science with extensive experience in both academia and the insurance industry. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance since July 2015, Tim also held the position of Vice President, Director of Atmospheric Perils. Prior to this role, Tim worked at AIR Worldwide from 2003 to July 2015 as Assistant Vice President and Senior Principal Scientist, leading a team in the development and refinement of natural catastrophe models, with a focus on various meteorological perils. Tim's academic background includes a tenure as Assistant Professor of Atmospheric Science at Texas Tech University from 1996 to 2002, where contributions included developing a research program and overseeing a network of meteorological observing facilities. Tim began the career with a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Center for Atmospheric Research and holds a PhD and MS in Atmospheric Science, both from Texas Tech University, as well as a BS in Meteorology from Lyndon State College.
