Christian Ceconi

Christian Ceconi serves as Stadtmissionsdirektor at BERLINER STADTMISSION since April 2020. Previously, Ceconi held the position of Area Dean with the Central Toronto Ministry Area of the Eastern Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) from November 2015 to April 2020, and served as Pastor at Martin Luther Church during the same period. Prior experience includes serving as Executive Director at Diakonisches Werk Hildesheim-Sarstedt e.V. (March 2008 - August 2013) and as Pastor for the Evangelical-lutheran Church of Hanover (September 2003 - August 2013), along with a role as Research Assistant at Evangelische Fachhochschule Hannover (May 2002 - August 2003). Christian Ceconi earned a Dr. theol. in Practical Theology/Church Theory from The University of Göttingen (2004 - 2013), a Diplom Diakoniewissenschaftler in Diakoniewissenschaft from Heidelberg University (1998 - 2000), and a Diplom Theologe in Protestant Theology from the same institution (1996 - 1999), alongside earlier studies at Dormition Abbey Jerusalem and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
