Kai-Oliver Mueller has worked in various roles over the years, starting as a Consultant at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in 2001. Kai-Oliver then moved on to d-fine GmbH as a Senior Consultant from 2002 to 2006. Following that, they were the Head of Liquidity Planning at BayernLB from 2006 to 2008, and subsequently became the Head of Risk Controlling - Valuation at HSH Nordbank from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, they joined The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Project Leader until 2013. From 2013 to 2020, Kai-Oliver Mueller worked at FMS Wertmanagement Service GmbH, first as the Managing Director - Head of Credit Risk and later as the Managing Director - Head of Finance & Risk Business Operations. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Risk Control at Berlin Hyp AG since 2020.
Kai-Oliver Mueller's education history includes obtaining a Diplom (Master) degree in Physics from Leibniz Universität Hannover in 1996. Kai-Oliver then pursued a Ph.D. in Physics from Technische Universität Darmstadt, which they completed by the year 2000. Additionally, they had a research stay at Stanford University also in the field of Physics, which ended in 2000.
