Earlier in the career, Michele was a Senior Accountant at the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority from August 1988 to June 1998. Berlin Metals opened in 1932 as Hokin Steel & Tinplate and was purchased by the Berlin family in 1967. In 2018, Berlin Metals joined the Olympic Steel family of businesses, delivering on a strategy of continued safe, sustainable and profitable growth.
