Kathleen Kuracina

Kathleen Kuracina is an experienced educator specializing in the Primary Years Programme (PYP), currently serving as a PYP Homeroom Teacher at Berlin Metropolitan School since August 2020. Previous teaching roles include positions at Albanian College Durres, International School of the Peninsula, and International School of Ulaanbaatar, all focusing on early childhood education. Kathleen's background also includes a stint as a Junior Professional Consultant for the UNDP in Colombia, where contributions were made to gender equity and community empowerment initiatives. Additional experience encompasses research analysis on gendered violence in South Asia and instructional roles at Carleton University and various community programs in Ottawa. Kathleen holds a Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of the People and multiple degrees in Women's and Gender Studies from Carleton University, along with a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University.
