Balaji Jayaseelan

Balaji Jayaseelan is an accomplished sustainability professional with extensive experience in environmental management and strategy development. Currently serving as Vice President of Sustainability at Berlin Packaging since June 2021, Balaji leads the implementation of sustainable strategies and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Prior to this role, Balaji worked as Director of Sustainability & Regulatory Affairs at Graham Packaging, where responsibilities included managing sustainability strategies and compliance with global trends. Additional roles include advising on early education STEAM learning at Kids STEAM Academy and serving as Sr. Manager of Global Sustainability at Newell Brands, where Balaji oversaw sustainability goals and initiatives. Balaji began a career in environmental engineering and compliance at organizations such as Environmental Resources Management and Antea Group. Educational credentials include an MBA from Emory University, an MS in Environmental Management from Illinois Institute of Technology, and a BE in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.
