Valerie Berlin

Valerie Berlin is a principal and co-founder of BerlinRosen, a full-service communications and political consulting firm with offices in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles that specializes in strategic communications, media relations, digital strategy and advertising for organizations, companies and candidates.

In 2005, Valerie co-founded BerlinRosen with Jonathan Rosen. Together, they grew the company from a two-person start-up to a team of 170+ professionals working across social impact, politics, philanthropy, issue advocacy, labor, consumer technology, real estate, travel, lifestyle and hospitality. She provides strategic counsel across the firm’s wide breadth of practice areas and has helped elect hundreds of progressive Democrats at the local, state and federal level in 21 states.

BerlinRosen was recently named the #1 most powerful PR firm in the United States by the Observer, while year over year Valerie’ has been a regular feature on City & State’s Power 100, Women Power 100 and Pride Power 50 lists.

Prior to founding BerlinRosen, Valerie spent over 20 years as an organizer, campaign manager and senior communications adviser to candidates, elected officials and issue campaigns, winning groundbreaking victories for women’s health, social and economic justice and campaign finance reform.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Valerie attended the University of Michigan and lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn with her two young children.
