Michelle Leman

Michelle (Shelly) Leman has a diverse work experience, primarily in the energy industry. Michelle (Shelly) is currently the Managing Director of Transmission, Distribution, and Retail (TD&R) at Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited, a position they have held since April 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Retail Operations from April 2019 to April 2021. From March 2017 to April 2019, they worked as the Manager of Customer Experience. Before that, they held the position of Manager of Customer Accounts & Market Analysis from May 2015 to March 2017, and Manager of Major Accounts from October 2012 to May 2015. Michelle (Shelly)'searliest work experience is as a Senior Environmental Field Technician at Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited, where they served from September 2000 to October 2012. Additionally, they have experience outside of the energy industry, serving as the Chairperson of the Bermuda Spurs Supporters Club since July 2016.

Michelle (Shelly) Leman obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology and Environmental Science from The College of William and Mary, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Prior to their college enrollment, they attended The Hotchkiss School from 1993 to 1996. Before that, they completed their secondary education at Bermuda High School for Girls, where they studied from 1982 to 1993.
