Andreas Bitz

Andreas Bitz currently serves as the Head of Treasury and ALM at Berner Kantonalbank AG and as a Physics Teacher at Berufsbildungszentrum BBZ Pfäffikon. Previously, Andreas held various significant roles at UBS from 1997 to June 2022, including LIBOR transition Lead Group Risk Control, Chief Risk Officer for Wealth Management in the US, and Global Head of Market Risk Control. Notable contributions include leading risk management frameworks across multiple sectors and managing a team of 30 risk officers. In addition to a PhD in Optical Properties of Semiconductors from EPFL, Andreas has acquired various industry certifications, including a CAS in Swiss Certified Treasurer and a CAS in Certified Board Member. Andreas also completed a Certificate in Mountain Leadership and Guidance through the Schweizer Bergführerverband.
