Dr. Jessica Rauch

Dr. Jessica Rauch is a highly experienced researcher currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine since January 2015, focusing on immune responses to pathogenic zoonotic bacteria and the development of diagnostic tests. Prior experience includes a PhD candidacy at Universitätsklinikum Hamburg Eppendorf, where the research centered on immune mechanisms in liver inflammation, as well as roles as a Research Associate and Undergraduate Researcher at the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine, concentrating on the characterization of the CD83 molecule on B cells. Dr. Rauch also worked as a Biology Laboratory Technician at Eurofins Analytik GmbH, specializing in LC/MS analytics and microbiological analyses in food and feed. Educational qualifications include a Dr. rer. nat. in Immunology and a Diploma in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Hamburg, along with a degree as a Biology Laboratory Technician from Eurofins Analytik GmbH.
