Swaroop Deshmukh

Swaroop Deshmukh has extensive experience in commercial and vessel operations, particularly in dry bulk shipping, spanning over a decade. Currently serving in a key role at Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement since February 2024, Swaroop manages dry bulk vessel operations and commercial matters. Previously, at The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. for nearly 14 years, Swaroop oversaw a significant portion of the bulker fleet, handling operations related to coal, iron ore, and other commodities while maximizing profitability and managing stakeholder relations. Additional roles included contributions to corporate strategy and communications, as well as liner shipping operations. Swaroop holds an MBA in Finance from Sydenham Institute of Management and a BE in Computer Engineering from COEP Technological University. Early career experience includes operations management at PLAYHOME EDUTAINMENT PRIVATE LIMITED.
