David Slade possesses a robust academic and professional background in Spanish and communications, currently serving as the Interim Provost and Associate Professor of Spanish at Berry College since July 2007. Slade has held various leadership positions, including Associate Provost, Dean of Academic Services, Chair of the Department of Foreign Languages, and Director of Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Prior to Berry College, Slade was an Assistant Professor of Spanish at Centre College from 2005 to 2007 and worked as the Coordinator of Public Relations for Turner Broadcasting, managing public relations for CNN brands in Latin America from 1997 to 1999. Slade's educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Spanish from Emory University, an MA in Spanish from the University of Kentucky, and a BA in Spanish and Communication from Berry College.
