Thor Vidar Mothes

Thor Vidar Mothes currently serves as the Digital Transformation Officer and Group CIO at Bertel O. Steen AS since August 2021. Prior to this role, Thor Vidar Mothes was with Orkla from February 2018 to August 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing IT governance and leading the design and implementation of an S4HANA template for global ERP rollout. Thor Vidar Mothes also held the position of IT Director at Orkla Foods Norge from June 2013 to March 2019, focusing on leveraging IT for business value within Norway’s leading food producer. Previous experience includes serving as CIO at Stabburet AS, where efforts centered on building and supporting information systems for efficient business processes, along with a tenure at the Norwegian Airforce in various roles. Thor Vidar Mothes holds a Master’s degree in Information System Management from Brunel University of London and additional education in military leadership, computer science, and electronics and aviation.
