Katharina Loonus

Katharina Loonus is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of human resources and operations. Currently serving as a Referentin HR at Bertelsmann Stiftung since January 2024, Loonus previously held the position of Head of Operations at Semalytix from February 2017 to December 2023, where a strong commitment to organizational development and HR initiatives was evident. Prior to this, Loonus worked as a Data Analyst at Semalytix, focusing on data annotation in the Pharma and Health sectors. Loonus began an academic career as a Scientific Researcher at Bielefeld University (2014-2017), investigating the impact of Working Memory on language comprehension through eye tracking experiments presented internationally. Furthermore, Loonus served as an Academic Tutor at Bielefeld University while completing a Master’s Degree in Linguistics (2012-2014) and a Bachelor’s Degree in German Language and Literature (2008-2012).
