Bastian Schroeder

Bastian Schroeder serves as Geschäftsführer and Deputy Director at the Berufsverband Deutscher Internistinnen und Internisten e.V. (BDI) since August 2018, focusing on government relations, advocacy, and corporate communications, while also being a member of the BDIaktuell editorial board. Prior experience includes Senior Program Manager at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung from October 2014 to July 2018, and Research Assistant at Heidelberg University from October 2011 to August 2014, working on a sub-project related to Islamic chancery practice within a collaborative research center. Bastian Schroeder has completed internships in the Portfolio Management Unit at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in March 2011 and April to September 2010. Bastian Schroeder holds a Magister (M.A.) in Islamic Studies and Political Science from Heidelberg University (2006-2017) and participated in a semester abroad at Birzeit University focused on Palestine and Arabic Studies.
