Brendan McGurk

Brendan McGurk is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in employee engagement, learning, and development, currently serving as Principal and Head of Employee Engagement & Development at Bessemer Trust since March 2013. Brendan has successfully collaborated with the CHRO and CEO to create impactful learning programs that enhance talent development, exemplified by a leadership program that facilitated the promotion of 27 leaders to Managing Director roles over four years. Previously, Brendan held the position of Principal - Head of Learning & Development, where alignment of learning initiatives with business objectives was achieved through collaboration with various experts. Brendan's career also includes significant roles in investment advisory and financial planning at J.P. Morgan Private Bank and Bernstein Global Wealth Management, as well as experience as a history teacher at New Canaan High School. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Trinity College-Hartford.
