Leeann Habte

Leeann Habte is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in health law and policy. Currently serving as a Partner at Best Best & Krieger LLP since September 2016, Leeann has previously held the position of Senior Counsel at Foley & Lardner LLP from June 2007 to September 2016. Prior experience includes Associate Director of Privacy and Security at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research (September 2001 - June 2006) and Research Director at the Minnesota Department of Health (June 1993 - October 2001). Leeann began a career in academia as Director of Grants and Publications at the University of Texas Medical Branch (July 1990 - July 1993). Leeann holds a Juris Doctor degree in Health Law from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, a Master's Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from St. Cloud State University.
