Russ Schaefer

Russ Schaefer has extensive experience in information technology and management, currently serving as IT Director at Best Buy since March 1998. In this role, Russ leads a team of over 150 IT professionals across various disciplines, including Retail Field Infrastructure, Deployment, Engineering, and End User Experience, responsible for engineering, deploying, and supporting large-scale IT retail and corporate hardware and infrastructure. Prior to Best Buy, Russ worked as an IT Technical Recruiter at Techpower Engineering Services from June 1995 to February 1998, recruiting for full-time and contract positions across diverse industries such as Medical, Retail, Military, and Engineering. Russ holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from St. Cloud State University, completed between 2000 and 2005.
