Eric Swafford

Eric Swafford is a seasoned professional in animal welfare and advocacy, currently serving as the Director of Legislation and Campaign Strategy at Best Friends Animal Society since January 2021. Prior to this role, Eric held significant positions at The Humane Society of the United States, including Sr. State Director and Director of Rural Outreach and Development from April 2013 to December 2020. Eric's career in public service includes serving as a State Representative for Tennessee from November 2004 to November 2010. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences from Middle Tennessee State University, completed in 1995.
