Karen Florez

Karen Florez, CFA, has held the position of Manager of Investments at The Minneapolis Foundation since May 2012. In addition to this role, Florez serves as a Board Member for both the CFA Society of Minnesota and the Minnesota Literacy Council, as well as being a Financial Matters Initiative High School Presenter for Best Prep, focusing on financial literacy. Florez's previous experience includes serving as Trustee and Treasurer at The House of Hope Presbyterian Church and working as Vice President and Senior Investment Manager at Wells Fargo Private Bank. Prior positions also include Vice President and Portfolio Manager roles at M&I Investment Management Corporation and National City Bank of Minneapolis. Florez holds a Mini-MBA Certificate from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and Advertising from Michigan State University.
