Hieu McElroy

Hieu McElroy is a Materials & Processes Engineer at BETA Technologies since 2023, previously serving as a Materials And Process Engineer at Blue Origin from 2022 to 2023, focusing on rocket engines. Prior experience includes roles as an Associate Research Scientist and Senior Engineer at Dow, specializing in core R&D engineering and materials science from 2016 to 2022. Hieu's background also encompasses a NASA Space Technology Research Fellowship at NASA from 2014 to 2016, along with extensive research positions at Texas A&M University, including a PhD student and graduate research assistant from 2011 to 2016. Hieu holds a PhD and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Idaho.
