John M. Fogarty has been a healthcare executive for over 30 years. John is currently the President of Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham, and has held previous positions as the Executive VP/COO of CharterCARE Health Partners and President of St. Joseph Health Services of RI. In their role at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham, John has been instrumental in the hospital's growth and expansion. John has also been a driving force behind the creation of one of Rhode Island's newest healthcare systems, CharterCARE Health Partners. As the Executive VP/COO of CharterCARE, John was responsible for leading the team that obtained state, federal, and church approvals for the affiliation plan and merger that created the $330M system. John also played a key role in developing the system vision and strategic plan, and was responsible for the operational deployment of the system business plans. In their previous role as President of St. Joseph Health Services of RI, John was responsible for all aspects of the hospital's operations, including service relocation, departmental consolidation, and management team restructuring.
John M. Fogarty has a Masters in Health Services Administration from Xavier University, an AB in Economics from Xavier University, and certifications from Salve Regina University in Adjunct Faculty and from American College of Healthcare Executives in Fellow.
