Alec Schmaier, MD PhD, is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Prior to this position, Alec was a Resident Physician in Internal Medicine at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System. Alec has a background in research, having worked as an Undergraduate Senior Thesis Research Student at Princeton University and as an American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics Undergraduate Research Fellow at the University of Michigan Medical School. Alec has also held various roles at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, focusing on cardiovascular and vascular medicine research.
