David Flanagan currently serves as the Deputy Executive Vice Chancellor of Facilities at UMass Chan Medical School since January 2023. Prior to this role, David has held various leadership positions at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center since April 2004, including Vice President of Facilities and Senior Director of Capital Facilities, Engineering, and Research Laboratory Planning. David's responsibilities encompass the development and implementation of solutions aligned with the institution's Strategic Plan to enhance safety and quality while supporting growth in clinical, academic, and scientific domains. With a strong background in facility management, David has overseen capital projects, infrastructure improvements, and compliance management across multiple roles. David holds an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Science from Middlesex Community College and a degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
