Matthew Ghofrani

Matthew Ghofrani is an experienced IT professional with a specialization in systems engineering and support. Currently serving as Principal Systems Engineer at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center since November 1997, Matthew provides 24/7 support for a diverse application stack, including IBM AIX and Linux Oracle-based systems, and has played a key role in co-architecting high-availability Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments. Previous experience includes tutoring math, science, and computer skills at Lexington Tutoring, LLC, and serving as System Administrator/Inventory Analyst at Mirak Lincoln-Mercury Nissan. Matthew holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and a Graduate Certificate in UNIX System/C/C++ from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.
