Steven Horng, MD, MMSc, FACEP, currently serves as the VP of Clinical Informatics at Layer Health since March 2023. At Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Steven has held various positions since July 2010, including Director of the Machine Learning Core and Program Director of the ACGME Multi-disciplinary Fellowship in Clinical Informatics. Additional roles include Attending Emergency Physician and Clinical Lead for Machine Learning at the Center for Healthcare Delivery Science. Steven is also an Instructor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School and has been involved with the Emergency Medicine Residents' Association as a Board member from October 2009 to October 2011. Early training included a residency in Emergency Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center from July 2007 to June 2010. Steven's educational background features an MMSc in Biomedical Informatics from Harvard Medical School and an MD from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, complemented by a BS in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
