Abigail Smurzynski is an experienced Emergency Medical Technician at Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad since October 2016. Abigail has served as a Course Mentor for the Women's Health Studies Course at Kaplan, focusing on reproductive health and public health issues, while also providing support to students through tri-weekly office hours. As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Holy Cross Health, Abigail managed care for 10 to 15 patients during 12.5-hour shifts on a 60-bed Medical/Surgical Unit and gained proficiency in Epic and Cerner documentation systems. Previous roles include Phonathon Head Coach and Coach at Brandeis University Development, successfully raising funds and implementing a hybrid calling model. Abigail holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, Magna Cum Laude, from Brandeis University and is currently a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine candidate at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine.
