James Lin started their work experience in 1996 as a Software Architect at Edutron, a math education technology startup. In 1998, they joined Monitor Group as a Consultant, where they served as an engagement manager and product manager in various locations across different industries. In 2002, James co-founded L Labs Inc, where they led business functions and managed channel/content partners. James then went on to co-found Better Chinese, INC in 2006, where they served as the CEO and played a key role in developing Chinese language materials and online stories for K-16 students.
James Lin completed their Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Biology from Brown University in the years 1991 to 1995. James then pursued a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University, graduating in 1996.
