Simone Stephens

Simone Stephens currently serves as the Head of Performance & Culture and Strategic HR Business Partner at Better Collective, starting in November 2023. Previously, Simone was the Director of Operations and People at WhereIsMyTransport from October 2018 to August 2023, overseeing multiple functions including People, legal, IT, and Business Administration, while leading initiatives to improve operational efficiencies and ensure data privacy. Prior roles at WhereIsMyTransport included Director of People and Head of People, where Simone focused on building and scaling the People function, enhancing team performance, and ensuring legal compliance across various jurisdictions. Earlier experience includes operations management at companies such as Junior and Royale Eatery, along with bookkeeper responsibilities at The Assembly. Simone holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Sociology (cum laude) from the University of South Africa.
