Matt Stroud is an experienced journalist and editor with a career spanning over two decades in various prestigious media outlets. Currently serving as an editor and journalist at Amphibian Media since 2008, Stroud has contributed to numerous publications including The New York Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, and Politico. Stroud's investigative work as a reporter for the Better Government Association in 2023-2024 focused on transparency and accountability in government. As the co-founder and CEO of Postindustrial Media from 2018 to 2020, Stroud highlighted stories of innovation in postindustrial cities. Previous roles include national reporter for Bloomberg LP and correspondent for the Associated Press, among others. In addition to a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Nonfiction Writing from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master's in Journalism from Point Park University, Stroud is also the author of "THIN BLUE LIE: The Failure of High-Tech Policing," recognized by The New York Times for its critical examination of law enforcement practices.
