Derek Vandunse

Derek VanDunse, CPA has a range of work experience in various financial roles. Derek is currently working as the Vice President and Controller at Better Health Group since May 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Financial Reporting at Acadia Healthcare from May 2021 to May 2023. Derek also worked at BDO USA, LLP, where they held positions as an Assurance Senior Manager from November 2020 to May 2021, Assurance Manager from August 2017 to October 2020, Assurance Senior Associate from August 2015 to July 2017, and Assurance Associate from September 2013 to July 2015. Derek also had a short-term secondment with BDO in New Zealand as an Audit Senior from June 2017 to September 2017, primarily focusing on audits of manufacturing and distribution and not-for-profit entities. Derek started their career as an IT Finance and Asset Management Intern at ServiceMaster in May 2012 and as a Financial Representative Intern at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network from June 2011 to December 2011.

Derek VanDunse, CPA, holds a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from the University of Mississippi. Derek also obtained a Master of Accountancy degree in Accounting from the University of Mississippi Graduate School. Additionally, they earned an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from Northwest Mississippi Community College. In terms of certifications, Derek holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the Tennessee State Board of Accountancy.
