Family Health Network (FHN) was founded in 1995 with an important objective – bringing quality health insurance to those who need it the most. FHN is the only not-for-profit managed care community network serving Chicago and Cook County, and is directed by local health care providers. In our 17 year history, we’ve developed strong and lasting relationships with our medical providers and greatly improved overall access to medical care for the families and individuals we serve. 

Through years of steady growth, FHN has become a leader in government-sponsored (Medicaid) managed care programs, serving our members with excellent providers and hospitals, including psychiatric and children’s facilities. FHN has remained successful while other provider sponsored and for-profit plans have come and gone because we align provider incentives and results with quality care for enrollees. FHN considers every provider a partner, not just a paid contractor. 

Member satisfaction is the true measure of a successful plan, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to offering responsive customer service. Our provider/member services unit is rated one of the highest in the industry, and in order to maintain our high level of performance, we constantly seek input and feedback from our members and providers.

We help children receive timely immunizations that prevent serious illness. We help low-income families with the quality health care they deserve.
