Christopher Peak is the VP of Real Estate & Development at Better Place Forests. Christopher has over 10 years of experience in the tech industry, including launching their own company, Grasshopper Ventures Group Inc. In 2017. At Grasshopper, they led a team of scientists and engineers to develop sensor and semiconductor technology to manage plant environments in CEA (controlled environment agriculture) space. Christopher also oversaw all aspects of product development, marketing, website, app, and alarms. Under their leadership, the company was able to secure small round of Angel funding during the COVID-19 pandemic and extend all operations to ready for go-to-market. However, due to long COVID-19 delays in procurement and manufacturing, the company was forced to close in 2020.
Prior to launching Grasshopper, Christopher Peak worked as a Project Manager and Owner at C. Peak Management from 2010 to 2011. Christopher then served as Senior Director of Design, R&D, and Procurement at Apple from 2010 to 2017. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing all aspects of product development, from design to procurement. During their time at Apple, they helped launch several groundbreaking products, including the iPhone 6s and the iPad Pro.
Christopher Peak received a Master of Fine Arts in Performance Theory from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from Cornish College of the Arts.
