Philipp Essl is an experienced professional in impact investing and coaching, currently serving as a Zinc Coach at ZINC since May 2023, supporting entrepreneurs in creating scalable solutions to societal challenges. As a Steering Committee Member at TWIST and an Advisor at ImpactVC, Philipp focuses on leveraging venture capital for positive social change. Holding the position of Managing Director and Head of Impact at Big Society Capital since January 2019, Philipp also runs Essl & Associates Ltd. and has worked as an Executive Coach at the Forward Institute. With a rich background in sustainability management at BG Group/Shell and extensive coaching roles, Philipp holds multiple advanced degrees from prestigious institutions, including an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School.
