Semira Nikou

Semira Nikou is an accomplished legal professional and entrepreneur, serving as Co-Founder and CEO of Better Sour since January 2023. Prior to this role, Nikou was a Senior Associate at WilmerHale from July 2017 to November 2021 and worked as Special Assistant General Counsel at the U.S. Mission to the WTO from September 2015 to June 2016. Experience also includes serving as Senior Research Associate and Research Associate at the Public International Law & Policy Group from May 2013 to May 2015, and completing a judicial internship with The Honorable Amy B. Jackson in early 2015. Nikou has legal experience as a Law Clerk for the American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland in the summer of 2013 and served as Program Assistant at the United States Institute of Peace from January 2010 to September 2011. Educational background includes a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law, a CORe Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School Online, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Scripps College.
