Dustin Holland's work experience begins in 2004 with an internship at Transtar Capital during their MBA program. After that, they joined Better World Books in 2004 as the National Director of the Library Division, where they successfully launched the first Library Discards & Donations Program. In 2008, they became the Vice President of Acquisitions, responsible for managing B2B book acquisitions, including signing deals with large strategic relationships and launching an Online Buyback Program. Dustin then served as the Vice President of Community, where they formulated the idea for a network of community-based book collection bins. In 2014, they became the Vice President of Sales and Business Development, and in 2015, they joined the board of directors at Better World Books. Later in 2015, they assumed the role of Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. Finally, in 2019, they were appointed as the President & CEO of Better World Books, where they currently serve. Additionally, since 2011, they have held the role of Executive Sponsor of the Sustainability Council at Better World Books.
Dustin Holland obtained their MBA in International Business from Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they attended The University of Georgia where they pursued a degree in Management from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, Dustin Holland has also obtained several certifications including Executive Education for Sustainability Leadership Program from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in November 2016, Adaptive Leadership from J. Mack Robinson College of Business in October 2012, Graduate of the 12-month Leadership North Fulton Program from North Fulton Chamber of Commerce in May 2011, and Graduate of Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminars from The Antiquarian Book School Foundation in August 2007.
