Martin Mullin has a diverse range of work experiences in the retail and publishing industry. Martin began their career at WHSmith in 1997, where they worked in various retail roles through the company's graduate trainee scheme. During this time, they gained experience in instore, HR, supply chain, and book buying. In 2002, Mullin joined WHSmith News as a Research and Development Manager. Martin then moved to Hodder Headline in 2004 as a Business Development Director. In 2005, they became the Managing Director of the Religious Division at Hodder & Stoughton. Mullin transitioned to the role of Business Consultant, specializing in intellectual property, retail, and publishing in 2007. In 2008, they returned to WHSmith as a Buyer Non Fiction Books and later became a Buyer. In 2012, Mullin joined Better World Books, where they held several positions, including Head of Acquisitions for the UK. In 2018, they were promoted to Director of Global Sales, followed by their current role as Senior Director of Global Sales.
