Kristen Taylor, Ph.D.

Kristen Taylor, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Since 2019, they have been the Owner and CEO of Precise Pedagogy, where they provide instructional coaching and support. In 2020, they joined Teaching Lab as a Facilitator and Math Nation as a Curriculum Writer. Kristen also worked at Edcite as a Platform Facilitator and at Washington University in St. Louis - University College as an Adjunct Instructor for Elementary Literature. Additionally, they held roles at St. Louis Teacher Residency, Achievement First, and Illustrative Mathematics, where they served as an Adjunct Instructor, Navigator - Math Stories Curriculum Writer, and Professional Development Facilitator, respectively. Kristen was also a Content Management Specialist at Illustrative Mathematics for a brief period. In 2019, they worked at BetterLesson as an Instructional Coach and at Teach For America as a Learning Community Chair.

Kristen Taylor, Ph.D. has a diverse education history. Kristen completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Pre-Law, and African Studies at Kent State University from 2000 to 2004. Following this, they pursued Theological Studies and earned a Master of Theological Studies (MTS) degree from Vanderbilt University, which they completed from 2004 to 2006.

In 2007, Kristen Taylor began their doctoral studies at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, specializing in Urban Education Policy with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction. Kristen successfully obtained their Ph.D. in this field, completing their studies in 2014.

Continuing their educational journey, Kristen Taylor pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Lindenwood University. Kristen completed this program from 2015 to 2017.

In addition to their degrees, Kristen Taylor has also obtained certifications in Elementary Education (Master, 1-6) from the Missouri Department of Education, which they acquired in January 2006. Furthermore, they obtained a Principal certification from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in May 2018.
