Gary Follis is an experienced professional in corporate affairs and public policy, currently serving as the Executive Director of Corporate Affairs at the Betting and Gaming Council since November 2019. Prior to this role, Follis held positions including Interim Chief Executive at the Association of British Bookmakers Limited, and various influential roles within the House of Commons, including Adviser to the Leader of the Opposition and Chief of Staff to the Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer. Follis has also worked as Head of Policy and Public Affairs at Nationwide Building Society and held advisory positions within the Cabinet Office and Santander UK. With a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from The University of Manchester, Follis began a career in political and public affairs as European and Political Officer at Unite the Union.
